Federica alle prese con lo smokey eyes tra Barbie e Arancia Meccanica

Mi sono sempre truccata poco, un po’ per trascuratezza, lo ammetto, e un po’ per incapacità.

Un po’ di matita nera, un filo di rimmel e un velo di lucida labbra sono il massimo che riesca ad applicare sul mio viso.

La pandemia ha sicuramente estremizzato la poca voglia di aver cura di me. Le uscite ridotte all’osso e il viso coperto dalla mascherina, infatti, non hanno certo aiutato la salvaguardia di un viso che avrebbe bisogno di qualche cura per non cedere definitivamente alla forza di gravità.

Ho fatto qualche tentativo, mica no: un giorno ricordo di essere uscita con le labbra rosso coca cola e di essermi ritrovata, tolta la mascherina, con la bocca identica a quella di Joker.

Nel frattempo, tra una mail e un giro su Facebook, mi sono imbattuta nei tutorial per il trucco.

Guardi queste ragazze che, in pochi minuti, trasformano un viso anonimo in un volto che Angelina Jolie, a confronto, somiglia a te nelle foto in cui, adolescente, coprivi i brufoli e la carnagione troppo scura, col il borotalco (sic).

Ti dici: “dai, è facile”, come quando vedi Cannavacciulo che spiega come cucinare la triglia con la melanzana in guazzetto di provola affumicata e ti ritrovi, con la cucina che sembra la scena di un’indagine dei Ris di Parma, a preparare, mortificata, una pasta col burro.

“Dai, è facile” dici stendendo quel nero che dovrebbe creare l’effetto “smokey eyes”, per poi ritrovarti con gli occhi come Marilyn Manson.

Non posso non farcela, pensi guardando su Facebook le foto di conoscenti che postano selfie stese nel letto con il viso truccato come se stessero dormendo da Kiko.

All’ennesimo tentativo andato male, decidi che la colpa è dei trucchi troppo vecchi.

Entri in un negozio che vende cosmetici e ti affidi alle sapienti mani della commessa che, come un predatore, sente l’odore dell’inesperienza e della paura.

“Beh, intanto potremmo cominciare con una base che affini la texture del viso”.

“Io, in realtà, volevo degli ombretti”.

“Eh, ma se il viso non è luminoso, nessun trucco verrà bene”

Annuisci timidamente.

“Poi direi che ci vorrebbe un ottimo correttore per le occhiaie”.

“No, ma, guardi, in realtà non ho mai le occhiaie, ho solo dormito poco…”

Lo sguardo severo della commessa ti induce a desistere e a mettere nel cestino degli acquisti anche il correttore.

Alla fine, dopo l’ora più difficile dopo quella degli orali della maturità, pensi di avercela fatta.

Hai un cestino che pesa come una cassa di acqua e ignori completamente cosa ne farai. Pensi che, alla peggio, i pennelli per gli occhi possano essere riciclati per pulire gli spigoli della doccia e lo smalto verde possa essere utile per fermare la smagliatura su quelle calze pregiate comprate a Parigi tanti anni fa.
Arrivi alla cassa distrutta.

La commessa annusa il sangue della preda e ti fa: “signora, avendo superato la spesa di x euro, può acquistare questo rimmel a un prezzo scontatissimo”.

Non hai più la forza di reagire e annuisci, pensando che, in fondo, il rimmel è una delle poche cose che sai usare.

Esci fiera dal negozio e ti dirigi verso casa col tuo bottino.

Guardi il contenuto del sacchetto, riguardi il tutorial degli smokey eyes e pensi che, con questo caldo, non sia opportuno provare un trucco così complesso.

Decidi di provare solo la matita bianca che sembra sia utile a illuminare e ingrandire gli occhi.

La stendi con finta sicurezza sulla rima inferiore dell’occhio, usando luci troppo basse, ma certa di avere occhi grandi come quelli di Barbie.

Incroci tuo figlio che ti guarda in modo strano e ti dice “ma’, mi sa che hai qualche problema a un occhio…”

“Perché?”

“Boh, è strano…”

Ti guardi allo specchio e ti accorgi che il tratto marcato di matita bianca ha cancellato completamente le sopracciglia inferiori di un occhio, facendoti somigliare drammaticamente al protagonista di Arancia Meccanica.

Butti la matita nel sacchetto dei preziosi acquisti, passi lo struccante sugli occhi e maledici il momento in cui hai guardato il tutorial del trucco, invece di quello della torta di mele.
