Gucci in scena a Los Angeles con una sfilata evento ispirata al fascino e alla magia del cinema e di Hollywood, cari alla maison e ad Alessandro Michele: la Gucci Love Parade.

La Walk of Fame usata come passerella, in uno show kolossal, con Jared Leto, Macaulay Culkin, Miranda July e St. Vincent sulla catwalk e abiti da Mille e una notte.

Hollywood chiama, Gucci risponde. E’ a Los Angeles che la griffe della doppia G ha mandato in scena la sua Love Parade, la seconda collezione del Direttore Creativo nell’anno del centenario della maison, la prima sfilata dal vivo dopo la pandemia. E alle 4.00 del mattino di mercoledì 3 novembre, ora di Los Angeles, ha nuovamente illuminato di magia gli occhi di un popolo della moda. Cento look come cento candeline a festeggiare l’amore che Gucci prova per Hollywood e il cinema.

E allora Hollywood sia: modelle e modelli escono dal Chinese Theatre, storico cinema degli Academy Awards, sulle note di Bjork, con outfit degni di red carpet e pezzi assemblati alla Gucci maniera: tuxedo doppiopetto di ispirazione Seventies, pantaloni con i lacci a vista o mega zip, passando per abiti bondage e sm, bustier e top in latex, guanti e diademi fino ai ciondoli a forma di sex toys, portati anche come gioielli per il viso. Gli evening gown scenografici strizzano l’occhio alle vestaglie con bordi in marabù amatissime dalle star hollywoodiane, Mae West e Marilyn Monroes su tutte.

E ancora, spazio ad autoreggenti, cappelli da cowboy, maschere fetish, tutine da ciclista, corsetti e guanti neri che si arrampicano fino alle spalle. Per l’uscita finale tutti i modelli si riversano su Hollywood boulevard dove campeggia la scritta ‘All Black lives matter’ dove fa capolino lo stesso Alessandro Michele, in tuxedo oversize e jeans.

«Mamma lavorava nel cinema come assistente di una casa di produzione. Ricordo i suoi racconti, dettagliati e scintillanti, su quella fabbrica di sogni. C’era il pallore d’alabastro di Marilyn Monroe e la sua voce diafana. C’erano i guanti neri di satin di Rita Hayworth e i capelli di seta di Veronica Lake. E ancora l’incanto seduttivo di Rock Hudson e il trasformismo vertiginoso di Kim Novak. Tutto aveva il sapore della fiaba», racconta Michele in una lettera indirizzata ai suoi ospiti.
