Shorts di jeans? “Io ci giravo già vent’anni fa e oggi metto quelli di mamma”

Shorts di jeans? “Io ci giravo già vent’anni fa”.

Non ho mai curato particolarmente il look da mare: ho nel cassetto qualche vecchia maglietta e un po’ di vestitini lisi che non indosso più in città. I vestiti da mare sono quelli che servono a traghettarmi da casa in spiaggia, con la borsa di paglia e la bottiglia dell’acqua sotto al braccio, senza essere vista da nessuno che io conosca.

Ultimamente, complice il tempo libero, ho scoperto che, tra le giovanissime, vanno molto di moda i pantaloncini di jeans e ho pensato:

chi sono io, alla soglia dei 47 anni, per non aver voglia di un paio di short di jeans?

Ho frugato negli armadi, convinta di trovarne un paio nascosto in mezzo a quel mucchio di indumenti che fanno parte del mio “non ho niente da mettermi”. Incredibile, neanche un paio di pantaloncini di jeans. Ho girato mille negozi senza trovarne un paio che mi piacesse: troppo chiari, troppo scuri, troppo strappati, troppo larghi, troppo stretti. Alla fine, ho desistito. Ormai siamo ad agosto e a settembre avrò già dimenticato la mia voglia di un paio di short.

Succede, poi, che, arrivata al mare, aprendo vecchie scatole, mi sia trovata tra le mani un paio di pantaloncini di jeans di mia madre. Un po’ troppo larghi, un po’ troppo scuri, ma belli. Ho immaginato mia madre, donna elegante e filiforme fino agli “anta” passati, infilata in quei jeans alla moda. Non so dove li abbia presi, quando li abbia indossati, se si sentisse a suo agio con quei pantaloncini striminziti.

So solo che ho avuto voglia di indossarli subito, di sentirmi meno “âgée”, sapendo di avere addosso un capo appartenuto a mia madre, indossato probabilmente in quegli anni ’70 che la moda continua a non dimenticare.

Ho messo anche il mio cappello di paglia, quello che mi fa sentire bella anche quando sembro una scappata di casa.

Non so se oggi indossi un capo vintage o semplicemente vecchio, so solo che mi ci sono sentita bene dentro.

Sono scesa in spiaggia, sorridendo di questo nuovo “acquisto” e ho pensato che un giorno, chissà, qualcuno ritroverà quei pantaloncini, li metterà via perché demodé, e non saprà mai quanta vita, in realtà, ci sia passata addosso.
